About Us
Our lab is trying to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive cardiovascular disease, regenerative processes, and aging. By integrating stem cell biology, advanced disease models, and multi-OMICS approaches, we aim to uncover new therapeutic strategies that promote tissue repair and long-term heart function preservation.
We study how stem and progenitor cells contribute to healing in ischemic conditions, investigate the role of cardiac fibroblasts in aging and heart failure, and explore how oxygen sensing influences mesenchymal stromal cell function. Through these efforts, we seek to bridge fundamental science with translational applications in cardiovascular medicine.
We welcome curious, driven, and collaborative young scientists to join us in addressing some of the most pressing challenges in heart disease and aging.
