Postdoctoral Position – Burlacu Lab

Two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions are available to study the profibrotic cell populations sequentially involved in cardiac repair after myocardial infarction in order to identify ncRNA candidates for modulation of cardiac fibrosis. The open positions are in the framework of a PNRR-financed project (Fibro-Thera) focused on exploring the noncodingRNA-mediated regulatory pathways to fight cardiac fibrosis in ischemic heart failure.

The candidates are expected to have a PhD in the biological sciences and be highly motivated with expertise in basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques.

Studies will involve the use of a number of genetic and biochemical approaches, including genetically engineered mouse models, tissue clearing and multiplex immunofluorescence, genome-wide analyses, and spatial transcriptomics in order to create a spatio-temporal transcriptomic map of cardiac remodeling post-myocardial infarction.
